1st puppy class: Gigi was extremely friendly to the people, but as it was the day right after her little incident (see previous post), she didn't warm up to the other three puppies quickly. The training started off with basic skills such as listening to commands like Sit and Down, using treats as incentive/reward. The trainer also talked about biting inhibition, and since Gigi is older than the other puppies who are 10-13 weeks old, the trainer told us we'll need to be more aggressive with Gigi on the discipline. Overall, she behaved well!
Dog park 8/13: This time, we didn't just throw her out there like throwing a kid into a football field. Gigi was leashed for a short period and we allowed her to stay on the side. If dogs came to sniff her and she tried to run, we held onto her collar to show that the dogs aren't there to harm her. Eventually Gigi started to warm up and did little steps such as walking on her own and not run away from other dogs. Later in the evening, another corgi named Diego entered the park! Now he was a hyper little thing, playing with all the big dogs! When it was around 8PM and the other dogs were going home, Gigi started to play with Diego! Dunno if it's because he was another corgi or because there were less dogs or what not, but that was a huge leap for her! Here is a video from my phone:
The one running in circles is Gigi :P
This video is from Sunday at the dog park again, and this time she actually played and wrestled with another puppy named Reina! Sorry for the quality, as it's also from the phone.
Gigi won :D
TEHEHEH. CUTIE.
